IIAS In Full Swing
Using The Debit Card Has Never Been Easier With the implementation of Inventory Information Approval Systems (IIAS) at retailers across the country, one may have expected there to be numerous issues related to Flex Debit Cards not working at certified merchants. However, we’re happy to report that the number of user related issues has been limited and we continue to see a positive overall response to the IIAS technology. Cardholders using the Crosby Flex Debit Card at IIAS certified retailers have and will continue to see an increase in the number of purchases that are automatically at the point-of-sale, thus increasing their overall experience. Innovative Work Study Program
It's Worked for Us, It Can Work for You Through one of our clients, Crosby learned about a fantastic work study program that North Cambridge Catholic High School offers its students. Their program, established in 2004, has been going strong since its inception, working with over 60 employers (including a number of our clients) throughout the Boston area. Every student at North Cambridge High School is required to participate in the program and each is considered a young professional as they each literally have to work for their education. Students are able to earn more than 50% of his/her education costs while the school can significantly reduce its tuition fees to families. Crosby's young professionals began this past Fall and four students were assigned to work on our production team. Each student has played an important role in assisting our teams with day-to-day administrative support, including filing, copying, scanning, assembling information packets, basic data-entry and other general duties. Each student works at Crosby one day per week, Monday through Thursday and the students each work one Friday per month. Given the opportunity to interact with business professionals and to hone their skills, students are able to gain confidence, maturity and real-world experience in addition to valuable contacts that may lead to college references, other job referrals and even summer jobs. Crosby is proud to be involved with this special program as it provides a great opportunity for our staff to interact and work with each of the students, teaching them essential skills to help prepare them for the future within our friendly and flexible environment where every employee makes an impact.
